Garden Plan

This is our garden plan for spring and summer of 2012. CLICK HERE or on the sidebar to see what varieties we're growing and when we'll sow the seeds.  The pictures aren't great, but at least they're here for reference.

  1. You grow a lot of broccoli. I always love to see people's plans. Some people grow so any of certain things and not many of others.

    1. Yea, our 2 year old loves it. There's also a "green" restaurant in town that will buy it from me. The problem is, even if we have a great crop, I don't think Belle will let any of it go.

  3. Interesting to see how others plant. I assume most of the seed for Feb. etc. are planted inside then transplanted. I can't imagine only planted 2 or 3 plants of any one kind. I guess I do things by the dozen.

  4. Yea, you're right they are seeded indoors. We would normally plant like you described, a dozen at a time, but we've fallen pray this year to trying new stuff. We've gotten so many seeds from other gardeners this year that we can't resist trying them all! Our seed growing space is limited, so this is how we're doing it.

  5. Planning is half of the fun of gardening and certainly helps to pass the last of the dark days of winter before we can actually do some gardening. Looks like you have a great garden in the works for 2012!

  6. I love the planning stage! Well the harvesting and eating stage is nice too ;) I love broccoli and would love to add lots of broccoli like you have. I would like to have enough to freeze some, but it is always eaten before making it to the freezer.

  7. We love to have lots of broccoli. It can go with just about every meal. It doesn't last long around here either.
