Spring Garden Acre is a blog about our family's gardening adventures. We call our place Spring Garden Acre, because we live on Spring Road with about an acre. We're located in zone 6b of south central PA. We grow peaches, berries, vegetables and keep a few chickens for eggs and meat.
At least you had some berries to get an idea of what they will taste like :o)

That's a really nice fall harvest of carrots! I think that I have four outside :(
ReplyDeleteI think the fall raspberries that are chilled hard - are the sweetest! It's amazing how long they will keep going before the weather finally puts an end to them.

KitsapFG, This is really our first year growing raspberries. Until now we had no idea they could weather the frost.
Malay-Kadazan, We had them for dinner last night with butter, and they were very sweet. Mmmm.
YAY for carrots! Those few raspberries are full of promise, you know! How wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHi Bee Girl, we planted raspberries this year in earnest. We lost at least 1/3 of the plants we planted. Still, we have about 45 healthy plants now. We're really hoping for a big raspberry yield next year!
