Harvest Monday is hosted by Daphne at Daphne's Dandelions. Stop by her site and see what other people are harvesting around the world.
This week we finally got around to the rest of the carrots (there are a few more in the ground). We picked just over 5 pounds today. And to our complete amazement one of them was 13 inches long and weighed 1 pound 7ounces. We also harvest a tiny bit of red leaf lettuce from the cold frame. The carrots taste very sweet. Maybe it's because they've been exposed to many freezing nights.
Wow! what a carrot :o) that's big enough to feed a whole family two meals :o) they all look so good and healthy...

ReplyDeleteJody, your carrots look great. I am afraid are were dug long ago and those that weren't canned are gone now and if I want fresh carrots I need to buy them. I hope to have more next year to keep fresh.
