Today we went between kid time, garden time and kids-in-the-garden time. I and the boys planted cabbage and cauliflower, lots of it! We were able to plant a little more than 50 plants today.
I'm not sure what's what because we mixed the seed trays up in the basement. I honestly don't know how many are cauliflower and how many are cabbage. We just planted everything.
They didn't all fit in our new garden bed (see the pics below), so we put some plants in the "spring garden" just outside our back door (not pictured) and we put the rest in our main garden in the place of several dead tomato plants (not pictured).
Unfortunately, Labor Day is almost over and summer too. Tonight is a cold night, the coldest we've felt here. Hopefully the shock of moving the plants from indoors to outdoors won't be too much for them. I don't think so. We're hoping for a great fall garden harvest.
