Peach Wine

My buddy recently transferred 5 gallons of our peach wine into 23 bottles.  The wine is completely dry right now, at least in the sense that it has no sugar. But it doesn't taste so dry because it's very fruity, even peachy! We can sweeten it later if that's what we decide we want to do.

We harvested the peaches last summer. Then in the winter we racked, re-racked and re-racked the wine again. In the spring we bottled it, and in the fall, on Thanksgiving Day we'll get together and pop our first cork. I guess it takes every season of the year to make a good bottle of wine.

23 bottles of peach wine aging in the cellar.

  2. Hi Jane and Robin, I can't say we really need help, but we're definitely eager to share the fun. Heck, we'll give away more than we drink, just because we're so happy to have made a good batch!

  5. We cracked a bottle last night. We just couldn't wait. It was delicious! It has a sweet peach bouquet. While it is technically dry the taste is very fruity, peachy sweet. Mmmm.
