Our First Strawberry

He's a lonely strawberry right now, but a ripe one nonetheless.

  1. Slice it real thin and put it on top of some cream or in a dish with sour cream and you will think it's a pound :o)

  2. Ahhh so lucky! How do you decide who gets it. I just eat it out in the patch to discourage any fighting ;) What you dont know wont make you want it.

  5. Malay-Kadazan girl, you are so right. Today we had 2 more. Our boys snatched them up before I ever got to see them.

  6. Your first one? How did you even manage to take a picture! I would have just gobbled it up right away and taken a picture of the stem for the blog post. You must be very dedicated to your blog! :)

  7. Hi Prairie Cat, thanks so much for commenting. I was so excited about that strawberry that I had to share with my blogging world friends. Since then our 4 year old, whose even more excited than me, has been picking and eating all the half ripe berries he can find. I'm not sure any of the berries will make it to the kitchen this June.
